BVA Group’s Alexander Walther presented at the TXCPA’s 2021 Forensics conference on best practices when conducting engagements that cross international borders. During the presentation, Alexander and his co-panelist discussed approaches to address various obstacles that can arise in international disputes and financial investigations. Areas of discussion included (1) types of international disputes and financial investigations that CPAs may encounter, (2) how local laws and regulations of other countries could impact a project, (3) approaches available to address translation issues, and (4) how cultural differences can impact various aspects of a project.
